Three meetings (a workshop, a dialogue and a consultation) related to the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KM-GBF) was co-organised by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (SCBD), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP), in close collaboration with other relevant partners, with the support of UNEP China Trust Fund and relevant convention secretariats.
The three programmes consisted of,
- The regional workshop for Asia and the Pacific on accelerating the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework through an integrated and synergistic approach (from 7 October to midday on 9 October 2025);
- The regional dialogue for East and South Asia on biodiversity monitoring and reporting (from the afternoon of 9 October to 10 October 2025); and
- The Pacific sub-regional consultation on the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (from the afternoon of 9 October to 10 October 2025), organised in parallel with the East and South Asia regional dialogue.
