This December, world leaders gathers for the Seventh United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA 7), the world’s highest decision-making forum on the environment. #UNEA7 will take place from 8 to 12 December 2025 at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya on the theme, «Advancing sustainable solutions for a resilient planet”. It was preceded by the seventh meeting of the Open-ended Committee of Permanent Representatives (OECPR-7) which was held from 1 to 5 December 2025. The United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA) has a universal membership of 193 Member States.
Our Founder and Director, Mrinalini Rai, is on the ground to advocate gender equality and human rights be central to environmental decision-making. At UNEA 7, we will participate and co-organise key events that amplify women’s leadership in environmental governance and spotlight community action often overlooked in global spaces.
