The theme for 2024 is \u201c<strong>Be part of the Plan<\/strong>\u201d, a call to action for all stakeholders to halt and reverse the loss of biodiversity by supporting the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KM-GBF), also referred to as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbd.int\/gbf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Biodiversity Plan<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The International Day for Biodiversity 2024 also coincided with two significant meetings of the Convention on Biological Diversity (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbd.int\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CBD<\/a>) happening right now in Nairobi, Kenya:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>The twenty-sixth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbd.int\/conferences\/nairobi-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SBSTTA-26<\/a>) from 13 May to 18 May 2024.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>The fourth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Implementation (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbd.int\/conferences\/nairobi-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SBI-4<\/a>) from 21 May to 29 May 2024.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Note: <em>Please go <a href=\"https:\/\/www.women4biodiversity.org\/sbstta26-sbi4\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a> to learn more about Women4Biodiversity&rsquo;s engagements at SBSTTA-26 and SBI-4. <\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>At Women4Biodiversity, we are proud to champion the invaluable roles of women and girls in biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.
