It will also present the <a href=\"https:\/\/gbf-indicators.org\/metadata\/other\/23-1-C\">draft indicator methodology<\/a> to be refined. This event is open to parites and stakeholders attending SBSTTA26. Teams from UNEP-WCMC, and Women4biodiversity will lead the discussion.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WHY<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The KM-GBF recognizes the need to reduce inequalities for its successful implementation by honouring the essential role of gender equality and empowerment of women and girls. Target 23 has been adopted to ensure a gender-responsive implementation of the framework, and the CBD has developed a Gender Plan of Action to help parties adopt a gender-responsive approach. However, there is a need for a clear methodology in place to monitor the progress of Target 23.
