The webinar was organized to share and gather inputs on advancing gender perspectives in the CBD Global Biodiversity Framework. The webinar was aimed at sharing of key activities and engagement carried out by representatives of the CBD Women Caucus who were in Rome. The webinar shared some challenges but also some great recommendations that were taken on board by Parties on gender responsive Action Targets for the new GBF, which also included support for a stand alone target on Gender, and including one on rights to a healthy environment and environmental defenders.
The webinar was hosted in English and Spanish to accommodate more participation from CSOs, women representatives and other stakeholders including representatives from the youth, indigenous women, civil society including from SCBD and some Parties representatives.
