The Building Resilience and Weaving Gender-Responsive Approaches to Biodiversity Governance project, was implemented around late 2021, to address the gaps in gender awareness and support for women-led conservation by supporting the strengthening of gender-responsive ecosystem restoration practices across varied ecosystems.
Through research and documentation of women-led restoration efforts in restoration sites across Asia, Africa, and Latin America, the Project has tried to integrate these approaches into national policies and international commitments.
Discover impactful biodiversity conservation initiatives led by women in Argentina, Cameroon, Costa Rica, Kenya, Myanmar and the Solomon Islands through these case studies.
This three-year initiative was supported by SwedBio through the Stockholm Resilience Center at Stockholm University.
