United Nations Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum, Asia-Pacific 2025

The 7th annual Asia-Pacific UN Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum was held from 16 to 19 September 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand (United Nations Conference Centre) with hybrid participation (in-person & virtual). The Forum’s theme was “Anchoring Progress and Strengthening Regional Leadership on Human Rights through Crisis”, reflecting concerns over geopolitical tension, resistance to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and human rights standards, climate impacts, inequality, digital disruptions, and shrinking civic space in Asia and the Pacific. It convenes stakeholders from governments, business, civil society, trade unions, rights-holders, and international organizations to take stock of recent progress, share practical solutions, and align on stronger, rights-based policies, regulatory approaches (including human rights due diligence), remedy mechanisms, inclusion, sustainability, and hybrid regulatory environments.
