Women4Biodiversity is thrilled to announce a new capacity-building workshop designed to strengthen women’s leadership and advocacy across South and South-East Asia! This regional workshop will focus on Target 23 of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KM-GBF) and women’s meaningful participation in negotiations under the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (UN CBD).
This 3-day in-person workshop will bring together grassroots groups, women’s rights collectives, youth advocates, and civil society actors working at the intersections of gender, biodiversity, and environmental justice.
This workshop has been designed for
- Deeper understanding of Target 23 and the Gender Plan of Action, and how they link to broader biodiversity goals.
- Practical skills to engage in policy and advocacy processes at national, regional, and global levels.
- Tools and strategies to effectively influence decision-making under the UN CBD.
- A vibrant regional peer network of women leaders and advocates shaping gender-responsive biodiversity futures.
No prior negotiation experience required, just passion and commitment!
More updates to follow!
