Indian Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN India) & Women4Biodiversity organised a two-day online workshop on 17 and 18 February 2024 on the Kunming Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KM-GBF), and key decisions taken at the Fifteenth United Nations Biodiversity Conference of the Parties (COP15) particularly focusing on the National Biodiversity Strategic and Action Plans (NBSAPs). COP15 also ended with a landmark agreement to guide global action on nature through to 2030. The workshop was oriented towards the youth to encourage their involvement in national processes.
On the first day, the online workshop focused on brief discussions on the various goals and Targets of KM-GBF, and the Gender Plan of Action. The second day, focused on the Monitoring Framework, the current NBSAP revision process taking place in India, and key strategic action points for the engagement of youth within these consultations.
Youth engaged in these two days actively provided inputs and action plans from their work experience.
