Women4Biodiversity held the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) orientation at the Women’s Hub during the Fifteenth Meeting of the Conference of Parties to the Convention of Biological Diversity (CBD COP 15) in December 2022.
Women4Biodiversity hosted “Women, girls and the right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment,” a conversation with UN Special Rapporteur on human rights and the environment David Boyd in Montreal, Canada on 13 and 14 December last year. The two-part event was among the Women’s Hub activities during the Fifteenth Meeting of the Conference of Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP 15).
To explore the practical implementation of the Gender Plan of Action (GPA), the UNCBD Women’s Caucus and the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity hosted a virtual roundtable on gender justice and biodiversity “How to implement the CBD Gender Plan of Action on the ground?” on 26 May 2023.
To discuss the critical outcomes for gender justice, gender equality and women’s empowerment of December 2022’s Fifteenth Meeting of the Conference of Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP15) the UNCBD Women’s Caucus held the virtual roundtable “What did COP 15 bring for women and girls?” on 22 February this year.
